Members design and develop their own comic and story line. Members use Adobe Illustrator to create comic characters and design the layout of the comic book.
VBGC Members learn to be Junior Event Planners through various projects including budgeting, decorating, designing invitations and mood boards. Members work individually to create and conceptualize a themed party and the member who has the best proposal becomes lead Event Planner. The Lead Event Planner will then direct the other members in the class to help him/her execute the event.
Members design and create a video game using Adobe Illustrator. Members develop a game concept, characters, and story line. Members also use Mario Maker to create levels.
VBGC members explore graphic techniques using Adobe Illustrator. Each week, members learn a tool from Illustrator that will help develop their creativity. Additionally, members learn about typography, editing, and design.
Using Polaroid cameras, VBGC members go on various photography field trips to practice their photography skills. The photography field trips are based on different themes explored in Photo Theory such as graffiti and landscape photography.
VBGC members explore a career in advertising. Members create their own ads for different companies, creating new slogans, catchphrases and design using Adobe Photoshop.
VBGC members conceptualize designs and mood boards for a dream home. Using Adobe Illustrator members create various interior spaces including bedrooms, a living room and playroom.
VBGC members take photos and learn how to brighten, darken, adjust and modify images and photos on Adobe Photoshop!
VBGC members learn photo techniques and discuss famous photographers such as Ansel Adams that correlate with the photo theme of the week.
Using the Polaroid pictures that our members captured on Tuesday’s photography field trip, members design and journal about their experiences. Every week, members are adding new photos to their portfolio showcasing their body of work.
